View over the rooftops of Dinant and the valley from a terraceDinant, seen from one of our rentals

Dinant stretches out between the cliff and the Meuse. The collegiate church and the citadel can be seen from everywhere, the Meuse lays the town out lengthwise, and a ten-minute drive takes you into the heart of the Condroz countryside. It is a town for weekends and short stays, lively on Saturdays, quiet on Wednesdays, pleasant out of season. People come for kayaking down the Lesse, for the caves, for the abbeys, for cycling on the RAVeL, and often to head off towards Houyet, Celles or Freÿr without ever driving more than twenty minutes. We also operate in Hastière, on the banks of the Meuse, in Hour and Mesnil-Saint-Blaise, near Houyet, and in Rochefort, in the Famenne.

Eleven rentals in Dinant.

Where to stay in Dinant

Which neighbourhood for which stay.

The centre, between the bridge and the collegiate church

Everything is within walking distance, including the restaurants in the evening and the landing stage. The right choice for a first stay and for a weekend without a car. It is also the liveliest neighbourhood on a Saturday evening.

Bouvignes and the left bank

Five minutes from the town, and a completely different pace. Old houses, quiet quays, a view of the citadel from the other bank. The one to choose for a quiet night’s sleep without going far.

Anseremme and the confluence

Where the Lesse joins the Meuse, so where the kayak trips finish. Practical with teenagers, and five minutes from the centre.

The valley towards Houyet and Celles

Hamlets, forest, paths. For those who want space, a terrace and silence, and who do not mind taking the car to go out for dinner.

When to come

Dinant changes with the seasons.

May to September

The Meuse is in full swing

The kayak trips run at full capacity and weekends are booked several weeks ahead. July and August are the two busiest months, with the May bank holidays and Ascension just behind.

October and November

The best months for walking

And the easiest to book. The valley empties, the colours come out, the paths are yours.

December

Christmas markets

Dinant comes alive around the Christmas markets of the region.

January and February

Calm, by the water

Which is exactly the point for anyone who wants a house by the water with nobody around.
